
Honored internationally for her passionate 30-year interfaith activism and leadership, Ruth Broyde Sharone, a filmmaker, journalist and author, is also the bookwriter, lyricist and composer of MEET ME THERE, an exuberant musical celebration of our cultural and religious diversity. She released two albums from the musical, in 2015 and in 2022 (www.interfaiththemusical.com). In recognition of her contributions to bridge-building, Ruth was inducted into the Martin Luther King Advisory Board of Morehouse College in 2013 and the same year she also received a special commendation for her Interfaith Leadership from Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti. The International Human Rights Consortium (IHRC) awarded her a Fete d'Excellence gold medal in Geneva in 2000 for her contributions to cultural education.
Her prize-winning documentary, “God and Allah Need to Talk”, was screened widely in the U.S. and abroad and her interfaith memoir, “Minefields & Miracles,” received three literary awards and more than 30 endorsements from religious leaders including H.H. the Dalai Lama. Ruth co-authored the 2018 Amazon best-seller, “21st Century Voices: Women Who Influence, Inspire, and Make a Difference.” Her latest book, published in 2025, “11 Things to Celebrate Before Breakfast,” is the first in a series of 11 short, inspirational books of words and images about everyday subjects.
