Following his family’s footsteps, Tauscher embarked on an international hotel career that brought him to France, Switzerland, Italy, South Africa and the USA.

In 2006, Tauscher received ‘The Cardinal’s Committee for Charity – Hospitality and Tourism of NYC – General Manager of the Year Award’ for his community involvement, and in 2007, he was the recipient of the ‘Hospitality Executive of the Year Award’ from the Food and Beverage Association of America. In his spare time, Tauscher volunteered on NYC boards and committees for the Westside Y, Lincoln Square Business District, the New York Hotel Association, and St Peter Church building committee. His hobbies are reading philosophy, painting and listening to Jazz, cooking from friends, and jogging and skiing and quite naturally, hotels, hotel design, hotel architecture and hotel engineering.
